It’s strange. The one thing I remember about history class is being bored. As grim as it sounds, we would yawn while the teacher spoke about the next plague, or the next war, or the next famine. We didn’t care because the words were just that. Words. Covid-19 taught me something valuable. History is just the warning of the future because humans don’t change. In 100 years, there will be another kid, yawning at the lesson of the COVID-19 pandemic. Not caring at how world changing or life altering it was to us. That realization helped me to adapt.
